Anna Świątek, born in 1985, is a graduate of Japanese studies and journalism at the University of Warsaw. Her rich professional experience in Japanese companies and her year-long stay in Japan, where she worked as a translator for a Japanese soft tennis team, allowed her to get to know the culture and customs of this country in depth. She traveled all over Japan from Hokkaido to Okinawa, collecting materials for her book.
