Marek Suchocki "Suchy", the boss controlling the underworld of north-eastern Poland, leads a life full of luxury and power. He has a beautiful wife, a mistress, children, a pub and a lot of money. As a result of the settlement, Marek falls down the stairs and suffers a serious brain injury. After waking up from a coma, he discovers that his empire has been ruined and he himself has gained the terrible ability to see ghosts and demons. He faces a choice - give up or fight for everything he has lost.

Artur Urbanowicz, the author of "Grzesznik", is one of the most respected Polish horror writers. His novels, such as "Gałęziste", "Inkub" and "Paradoks", have gained recognition from critics and readers, and he himself was awarded the Stefan Grabiński Award for Polish Horror Literature for "Grzesznik" in 2017. In his works, Urbanowicz combines elements of crime, thriller and horror, creating dark, multi-layered stories that touch on important social and existential themes.
