The author, a winner of the Kapuściński Award, with ruthless precision and at the same time great sensitivity, gives a voice to teenage child killers, wives beaten and humiliated for years by their drinking husbands, perpetrators of brutal murders who do not see their guilt, as well as witnesses of family tragedies, social workers and the police.
