The Panzerhaubitze 2000 is a symbol of modern artillery and a testament to the advanced technology of the German armaments industry. Work on the PzH 2000 began in the 1980s as part of the modernization program of the German artillery of the Bundeswehr. The aim was to create a modern self-propelled howitzer that would replace older models such as the M109. The prototypes of the PzH 2000 were tested in the early 1990s, and the results were promising, which led to the decision to start series production.

The PzH 2000 is characterized by a high rate of fire, a long range and an advanced fire control system, which makes it an extremely effective tool for fire support on the battlefield. The ability to fire salvos quickly and the advanced targeting systems allow targets to be hit quickly and accurately. Currently, these vehicles are used in the fighting in Ukraine.
