ROADS AND OFF-ROADS OF EDUCATION IN THE PANDEMIC

A monograph emphasizing the impact of the pandemic on educational processes. Prepared for the IX Scientific Forum, a meeting of educators from Poland and Ukraine, it is the result of many years of cooperation between educational institutions. The book shows the real problems of the epidemiological crisis, combining the subject of school pedagogy (including higher education) with comparative pedagogy. It is a voice in the discourse on the future of education, offering a fresh look at the challenges and opportunities that teaching in changing conditions brings.

The reviewed monograph presents important aspects of the functioning of education systems in Poland and Ukraine in the context of the pandemic. Scientists identify problems in the functioning of education, outlining directions for the development of education and educational institutions, and formulate recommendations regarding the organization of the educational process in remote and hybrid learning conditions.

The authors emphasized that the pandemic contributed to the development of aspects of the education sector: remote learning motivated educators to improve their digital skills, institution administrators gained experience in adapting the education process to new realities and creating a safe environment for teachers and students, educators and students, social workers and their charges; Ukrainian and Polish education systems gained new opportunities to overcome the existing digital divide.

The monograph is interdisciplinary, referring to a wide range of social sciences and humanities. It is addressed to educators, teachers, students, researchers and all those interested in the issues of education in the face of contemporary challenges.
