Dr. habil. Piotr Kletowski, Prof. at the Jagiellonian University, is an assistant professor at the Department of Korea, Institute of the Middle and Far East. He is a cultural scholar and film scholar, a researcher of non-obvious cinema. He is the author of monographs on creators of separate worlds of world cinema such as Takeshi Kitano, Stanley Kubrick, and Pier Paolo Pasolini. He also co-created interviews with masters of Polish cinema - Andrzej Żuławski, Grzegorz Królikiewicz, and Piotr Szulkin. He is the editor of the bestseller 1000 Films That Make Cinema History (2020), which was awarded the PISF award for the best publication on film topics. He edits the European Genre Cinema series (WUJ 2017-2023) and is preparing the V volume of the series.
