The handbook "Somatic Phraseology in Exercises" is the result of the work of a team from the Institute of Romance Languages and Translation Studies at the University of Silesia, under the direction of Dr. habil. Monika Sułkowska. It is part of a scientific and implementation project that aims to provide students and lovers of Romance languages with a comprehensive tool for learning somatic phraseology.

The book includes exercises in broadly understood phraseology related to the names of human body parts and their attributes. The handbook includes an answer key to the exercises, as well as control tests allowing for self-checking of acquired phraseological competences. The study also includes glossaries helpful in solving exercises, which include phraseological structures appearing in subsequent chapters. Somatic phraseology represents the most productive area of phraseology, which is also often used in all natural languages. The composition of the handbook is three-part and includes three related and popular Romance languages.
