HOMO ET SOCIETAS. AROUND SOCIAL WORK 6/2021 - COLLECTIVE WORK

We present to you the sixth issue of the journal "Homo et Societas. Around Social Work". This issue is published at a special time, during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, which for over two years has been affecting social and economic life worldwide. It has also influenced the need to develop completely new standards for the functioning of many areas of the state and public administration.

The journal "Homo et Societas" has been consolidating its scientific position from the very beginning, which is evidenced by its inclusion in many prestigious scientific journals such as Index Copernicus, Erich Plus, CEJSH, CEEOL, or its presence in the list of scientific journals maintained by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The editorial team focuses on the continuous development of the journal, inviting representatives of various social sciences, including sociologists, pedagogues and political scientists, to cooperate.

The aim of the editorial team is to create a scientific debate platform on current problems and challenges regarding the social policy system in Poland, the social assistance system and social work. The journal is intended to be an important practical dimension, addressed to social workers and other professionals involved in the functioning of various entities and institutions of social assistance.

In this issue, you will find articles on a multi-level and multi-faceted view of the areas of social work applied in various areas of social life. The research issues discussed are focused around three important thematic blocks: Around social work and social assistance, Around social policy and Social borderlands. This structure conditions a broad spectrum of scientific investigations and research on the contexts of social work.
