The publication is the result of the work of employees of the Department of European Islam at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the University of Warsaw and other domestic and foreign researchers of Muslims in Europe. This Department, founded in 1994 by Prof. Dr. habil. Anna Parzymies, played a key role in the development of research on European Islam. Under her leadership, numerous doctoral dissertations and scientific publications were created, as well as many conferences on this topic were organized.
