Important is both the development of language skills (listening, speaking, writing and reading) and the underlying linguistic competences (grammatical, lexical, phonological and orthographic), which has been taken care of in the prepared position.

The book consists of 15 units, divided into two parts (the first part has 9 basic units and 3 revision units; the second - 6 basic units and 2 revision units and a supplement, in which, in addition to various grammar and vocabulary exercises, there are several reading texts, designed as additional materials for the teacher and the learner). After every three units, there is a revision lesson that allows the teacher and the learners to monitor the progress and effectiveness of the educational process.

In each lesson, in addition to texts, dialogues, communication situations, there is a large number of language and skill exercises (there are, depending on the topic, from 20 to approx. 30). The textbook is the result of the authors' experience gathered during their many years of work with beginner groups in various courses at the Jagiellonian University, the International Education Center of the Krakow University of Technology and in private schools.
