The organizers of these expeditions were the High Mountain Club Trójmiasto and the High Mountain Club Kraków, and the participants included the most outstanding Polish mountaineers, such as Jerzy Kukuczka, Andrzej Heinrich and Tadeusz Piotrowski. Their struggles, the dramatic events on the mountain slopes and the spirit of those times are described in this book.
