The Faith and Light community, celebrating its fortieth anniversary in 2011, was born out of a need of the heart and a desire to reduce the loneliness of families with disabled people. The pilgrimage to Lourdes in 1971 became the spark that started the movement, which today includes 1650 communities in eighty countries. Marie-Hlne Mathieu, co-founder, shares her memories, showing the motivations and inspirations that guided her and Jean Vanier in this extraordinary adventure.
