The end of the world is near! The horsemen of the Apocalypse are coming, and the Antichrist is to send Armageddon to Earth. The series based on the heavenly successful and hellishly funny novel by Pratchett and Gaiman stars David Tennant, Michael Sheen, Jon Hamm, Frances McDormand and Benedict Cumerbatch! Terry Pratchett was born on April 28, 1948 in Beaconsfield and died on March 12, 2015. He made his debut as a short story writer at the age of 13. It was already obvious then that he had a bright future ahead of him. In 1965 he started working as a journalist. In 1971 his first novel "The Carpet People" was published, followed by "The Dark Side of the Sun" (1976) and "Strata" (1981). In 1980 he became a spokesman for the Central Electricity Board.


In 1983 his first novel from the "Discworld" series was published - "The Colour of Magic". After the publication of the books "The Light Fantastic" and "Mort" in 1986, Terry Pratchett decided to devote himself entirely to writing. Since then, both the number of books published and sold and the popularity of the writer have steadily increased. Pratchett was also the author of several books for young readers - he wrote, among others, the children's trilogy "Book of the Nomes". Its heroes are small extraterrestrial beings trapped on our planet and trying to escape from it. He has received numerous awards. In 1994 he received the British Book Award. In 1998 he was appointed Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire for his services to literature. He was an honorary doctor of several universities and one of the most influential fantasy authors - his novels are adapted into computer games, role-playing games, comics and films.
