The book "Nagorno-Karabakh in the Politics of Independent Azerbaijan" is the result of the author's years of research on this complex conflict. Przemysław Adamczewski explains how the secession of Nagorno-Karabakh has affected the politics of the Azerbaijani authorities and presents their position on reaching an agreement with the Armenians living in both the former Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Region and Armenia. The author also analyzes the use of armed forces to restore the jurisdiction of the government in Baku over the entire country.
The author's aim was also to analyze the legal context of the conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh from the perspective of Azerbaijan and Armenia. The Armenian thesis on the legitimacy of the NKAR's secession from the Azerbaijan SSR and the subsequent proclamation of the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh was examined. The current situation in this region is difficult to understand without knowing its history, which is why the author devoted much attention to a thorough discussion of the history of the disputed area.

His research interests focus on ethnic conflicts in the Caucasus, and in 2012 he was awarded a prize under the Mobilność Plus program for a research project on the mythologization of historical memory as a determinant of ethnic conflicts in the Caucasus.
