The Free Gestures publication is the result of a residency by Canadian dancer, performance artist and choreographer of Polish origin, Ula Sickle. The exhibition, which the book accompanies, is a choreographic experience activated by a group of dancers who, for five hours each day of the institution's opening, bring to life the idea of free gestures. The starting point is the question of how ideologies are inscribed in our bodies and our language, and the works of art become spoken literary texts, gestures and movements.
