This sociological study aims to present, based on the results of nationwide surveys and local empirical studies conducted in the years 1965-2020, the level of participation of adult Polish Catholics in mandatory and voluntary religious practices during this period, and to analyze it in terms of continuity and change. The study will attempt to answer the question of whether we will be dealing with a regression leading to the disappearance of the participation of adult Catholics in mandatory and voluntary religious practices, or with a sustained stabilization and durability of this participation.
