"Relatos de Cocalombia" is the essence for those who see literature as a mirror of society. The book explains how this narrative relates to marginalization and the utopian failure of drug trafficking, as well as ethical controversies. The authors, by telling about the lives of their characters, examine the moral ambiguity surrounding drug trafficking. In addition, "Relatos de Cocalombia" conducts a dialogue with the narco phenomenon in Latin America, constituting an essential element in understanding the links between culture, economy and violence in the region, showing how literature can be a form of historical memory and collective therapy.

Since the mid-1990s, the theme of narconarrative has been in vogue, starting with the publication of classics of the genre such as "Leopardo al sol" (1993) by Laura Restrepo, "La Virgen de los sicarios" (1994) by Fernando Vallejo or "Rosario Tijeras" (1999) by Jorge Franco, and later with television, film and series versions broadcast on popular platforms, which have transformed such a sensitive and brutal theme into a reference point for mass popular culture. This has motivated the appearance of many essays, articles, reviews, press notes, etc., the purpose of which is to analyze this type of literature. However, there are very few totalizing works, such as the one submitted for evaluation, apart from some collective volume or focused on Mexican drug trafficking. Therefore, this monograph is really important and aims to fill a significant gap that allows the researcher, the specialized student or the reader with interests in these topics to publish a book that can be read as a manual on the Colombian narconarrative of recent decades.

The book has 266 pages, a format of 160x239 mm, a paperback cover and was published in 2025 by the Jagiellonian University Publishing House. It is a must-read for anyone who wants to understand the phenomenon of narconovela and its impact on society.
