Names such as Hiroshima and Nagasaki, or words such as corpse, crucifix, darkness, evoke strong emotions and associations. On the other hand, bright, shining, sweet words such as milk, flamingos, lotus flower and manna of linden seeds or a shawl bring comfort and hope. The graphic series "Alphabets Exist" is a visual interpretation of Inger Christensen's poem, created in color linocut technique by Pio Kaliński. Each of the 14 works, measuring 50 x 70 cm, was made in 3 copies at AtelierPIO in Krakow in 2020. The presentation of the project took place at the LOKATOR bookstore on October 5, 2023, which was a special event for lovers of poetry and art.
