Dr. Piotr Kołodziejczyk is an archaeologist and cultural anthropologist, an assistant professor at the Department of Archaeology of Egypt and the Middle East at the Institute of Archaeology of the Jagiellonian University. He specializes in topics related to the late prehistory in the Middle East and the socio-economic and cultural processes and changes that occurred at that time. For many years, he participated in archaeological research at Egyptian sites such as Tell el-Farcha, Abydos, Tell el-Fara'in-Buto, Deir el-Bersha, and Tell el-Daba. He also participated in many excavations in Poland, Ukraine, and Cyprus. Since 2014, he has been leading a research project of the Institute of Archaeology of the Jagiellonian University in southern Jordan.
