Jadwiga Mackiewicz, known as Aunt Jadzia, has been conducting concerts for children at the National Philharmonic since 1960, teaching them to listen to and understand music. This CD is an attempt to save her knowledge and skills from oblivion, presented in a form accessible and engaging for the youngest listeners. The voice of Aunt Jadzia, laureate of the Order of Smile, is a guarantee of fun and valuable content.

On the CD we find works by composers such as Stanisław Moniuszko, Alessandro Marcello, Camille Saint-Saëns, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Grażyna Bacewicz, Robert Schumann and others. Each piece is a performance of a different instrument, presented by outstanding musicians. We will hear the flute of Barbara Świątek, the oboe of Janusz Banaszek, the bassoon of Wojciech Orawiec, the tuba of Zdzisław Piernik, the trombone of Jerzy Górzyński, the horn of Radek Baborák, the trumpet of Marcin Hiolski, the violin of Konstanty Andrzej Kulka, the viola of Stefan Kamasa, the cello of Roman Jabłoński and the double bass of Matthew McDonald.
