The F-35A Lightning II "Husarz" is an American single-seat, single-engine, multirole fifth-generation fighter aircraft created as part of the international Joint Strike Fighter program. Built by the Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and BAE Systems consortium, it has become a symbol of technological and combat superiority on the modern battlefield. In 2024, the Polish Ministry of National Defense officially named the Polish F-35s "Husarz", emphasizing its role as a modern knight of the sky. Deliveries of 32 machines will last until 2030, and the first units have already arrived at Ebbing base in the USA, to be later stationed in Łask and Świdwin. The F-35 Husarz is to replace the outdated MiG-29 and Su-22, responding to the threat from the Russian Su-35 and Su-57.

This fighter was designed using stealth technology, which makes it difficult to detect by radar and infrared systems. Its aerodynamic silhouette and special materials make it almost invisible on the modern battlefield. It is powered by one of the most powerful jet engines in the world - the Pratt & Whitney F135-PW-100 - providing an impressive thrust of 43,000 pounds with afterburning.
