Dorota Ponińska, the author of the novel "Romantic", is a graduate of the Faculty of Polish Philology at the University of Warsaw. She also completed American studies and public relations. For several years she worked in the PR industry, gaining experience both in agencies and in international corporations. She was a member of the team responsible for obtaining the title of European Capital of Culture for Warsaw. She draws inspiration from distant travels and meetings with interesting people. She is the author of the historical trilogy "Journey for Love" and the novel "Secrets of the Colonel's Wife".
