In the fortress of Kondrakar, located in the middle of nowhere, lives the Oracle - a power that maintains balance in the universe. From time to time, he appoints new Guardians to guard the Network separating the human world from the Other World inhabited by monsters. However, the Network is getting weaker and weaker, and forces of evil are penetrating our reality through more and more portals... The task of the Guardians is to find and close these passages and fight unwanted guests from the Other World. This time, the role of defenders falls to five teenagers who have not been trained for this mission, but still have to face the terrible threat. Four of them are given power over the elements: earth, fire, air and water, and the fifth, Will, receives the most important power, residing in a talisman called the Heart of Kondrakar. From now on, the chosen ones will have to learn their powers and stand guard over peace!

The life of five girls is not just about guarding the Network and fighting beasts. They also have their own family problems, have to deal with hooligans, try to study well, and above all, slowly enter adulthood. The adventures of the witches were invented by the Italian writer Elisabetta Gnone, also known for the children's novel trilogy "Fairy Oak". Gnone co-authored the scripts for the first episodes of the series, and later this task was taken over by other authors, including Francesco Artibani ("Lupo Alberto", "Kylion") and Bruno Enna ("Kwakenstein", "Dylan Dog"). The drawings are the work of many artists, including two artists, privately married, Alessandro Barbucci and Barbara Canepa, who also created illustrations for Disney comics such as "Winnie the Pooh", as well as participated in the creation of independent comic series - "Sky Doll", "Monster Allergy", "Ekho. Mirror world".

In 2002, the "WITCH" series and its authors were honored with the important Italian comic award Topolino.
