Piotr Gawron (born 1943) is a sculptor and pedagogue, a graduate of the Faculty of Sculpture of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts in the studios of Zofia Demkowska and Tadeusz Łodziana (1966-1972). Since 1994 he has been a professor at ASP. His work focuses on chamber sculptures, portraits and medal art. He is a laureate of many awards and distinctions, including the gold medal at the V Festival of Fine Arts in Warsaw (1973) and the first prize at the I International Biennial of Unique Medal Art in Warsaw (1988).

Dorota Folga-Januszewska is a well-known art historian and exhibition curator. Her essays in the album shed new light on Gawron's work, analyzing his style, inspirations and influence on contemporary sculpture. The album is not only a presentation of works, but also a deep artistic analysis.
