Malbork Castle has attracted the attention of Europe for centuries, once due to its military, economic and political importance, and for almost two centuries primarily as a monument of exceptional class. All those who have crossed and are crossing the castle chambers and cobbled courtyards are entering its history. The vast majority remain anonymous, but the names of some are known to us thanks to chroniclers and guest books.

Over the course of over seven centuries, the castle has hosted emperors, presidents, kings, princes, prime ministers, marshals, generals and ministers. Directors placed the actions of their films here, and the military assessed it in terms of military needs. The castle was besieged several times, and even stormed once. Marriages were contracted in it, feasts, balls, concerts and performances were organized, but also died in its dungeons. They searched for treasures, prayed, plotted conspiracies and started wars.
