First, the end of the Davidic monarchy and the temporary abandonment of the land of Canaan during the Babylonian deportation, and then the end marked by the centuries-long diaspora after the fall of the last revolt, led by Bar-Kochba.

This schematic and abbreviated presentation aims to provide an orientation in the rich history of Israel, spanning seven centuries, which has also been described on the pages of the Old Testament.
