The "Restore Memory" book series aims to bring to contemporary society the publications of the founders of the scouting movement, the creators of the development of the scouting idea and methodology from 1911-1939. The reprint "Field Exercise Methodology. From lectures at the instructor course in Smolnica 1925" is a journey in time that allows us to understand how the principles of scouting education were formed in Poland.

The scouting education system in Poland is a collection of methods and means proposed by Gen. Baden-Powell, adapted to the needs and character of the Polish boy. The main principles of this system are education for action through action, directing the instincts and preferences of young people towards activities that form good habits and noble feelings, incorporating them into specific forms and exploiting the influence of colleagues and companions, interesting parents in education and close connection with the family and school or employer, which is an important contribution to the harmonization of the effects of various educational factors. The basis of all this is knowledge of the soul and body of the boy, the development of his mental and physical state. We put these principles into practice in two ways: through ideological education and through physical education.
