The novel takes place in December 2020 in the village of Wygoda near Częstochowa. Monika and Mariusz break into a detached house, where they find two teenagers - a girl and her autistic brother. During the attack, a hooded young man appears, who cuts the burglar's throat and disappears. The thief's accomplice manages to escape. Similar incidents are reported in various regions of the country. The media give the murderer the name "Cleanser".

Iwo, an autistic boy, saw him exactly and remembered many details, but initially the police officers approach his story with great reserve. Will his testimony allow to catch a dangerous criminal who decided to administer justice himself?
