The publication is a compendium of knowledge on tactical rescue and its importance in tactical infantry operations for people who do not deal with medical rescue on a daily basis. It is based on the guidelines of Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC, TC3) and the experience of special forces operators responsible for medical operations in their units. The work also uses the observations and experience of the Authors as paramedics and instructors of tactical rescue.

The content has been collected and presented in the form of a guide, enabling people who want to learn the basics of tactical rescue to quickly acquire the necessary knowledge and skills, which will allow them to introduce it to their units as one of the basic elements of training. The aim of the publication is to help develop the necessary habits and skills among operators and soldiers, enabling effective assistance on the battlefield, as well as to include TCCC elements in the planning of tactical operations in the conditions of military and civilian units (e.g. police).

In its scope, the guide has been limited to discussing basic medical assistance activities necessary on the battlefield, omitting advanced medical procedures appropriate for further stages of rescue operations. Structurally, the manual is divided into four parts, discussing in turn: the concept and history of tactical rescue, the preparation of soldiers and rescuers for action, rescue operations in individual TCCC zones and rescue in various forms of tactical operations. The presented proposals will clearly provide solid support both in the training process of sub-units and in the preparations for the implementation of real tactical tasks in various types of operations.
