Krystyna Szafraniec's book is a comprehensive dissertation analyzing unique panel studies in Poland. The value of this dissertation is primarily determined by the impressive research design. The studies cover a total of 45 years and were conducted in four successive phases in 1972–1979; 1987–1988; 1997–1998 and 2016–2017.
