  • Survey research on workplace bullying
  • Impact of actions on demand
  • Identification of competitiveness of the sector

  • Rebound effect in improving energy efficiency

The monograph contains chapters on quite diverse topics. Their common denominator is quantitative methods, mainly econometric, used in calculations by the authors. The work focuses on topics in the fields of economics and finance, management, and management psychology close to economics. In the first chapter, Beata Basiura and Iwona Skalna compared the performance of ARIMA models and neural networks in forecasting selected stock market indices, emphasizing their strengths and limitations.

The aim of the research analysis presented in the chapter by Maria Katarzyna Grzegorzewska and her co-authors was to pay special attention to the problem of mobbing in the workplace. The analysis of the phenomenon contained in the publication was supported by the results of surveys conducted and processed by the authors. In the third chapter, Artur Machno tried to present the real impact of various activities on demand, analyzed various types of interactions in causal systems and showed their importance for understanding the impact of changes in price and promotion on demand.

The aim of the fourth chapter written by Krzysztof Posłuszny was to identify the concept of sectoral competitiveness, indicate the basic problems of analysis at this level of aggregation and propose indicators measuring sectoral competitiveness based on available data sets. In the fifth chapter, Dubravko Sabolić pointed out that the rapid integration of renewable energy sources (RES) with power grids is a breakthrough step towards achieving global decarbonization goals, but at the same time introduces significant challenges related to market dynamics and regulatory frameworks.

The aim of the last chapter, written by Jurand Skrzypek, is to increase knowledge about the mechanisms leading to the rebound effect in improving energy efficiency. The author presented a method for measuring the rebound effect and outlined approaches to modeling the discussed effect in the leading currents of economics. He also emphasized the need to include modeling of the rebound effect in the analyzes performed for strategic documents shaping the future of the Polish energy system.
