The current ESHRE guidelines for polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), including the revised diagnostic criteria that take into account the presence of at least 20 follicles in one ovary, are analyzed in detail.

In addition, new and easy-to-use monoovulation induction protocols are presented, which can significantly shorten the treatment time. The publication contains rich illustrations of the most important disease entities leading to infertility, such as isthmocele or hydrosalpinx, which still pose a diagnostic challenge.

An important element is also the differential diagnosis of primary ovarian insufficiency (POI) and decreased ovarian reserve (DOR), along with a list of necessary tests. Legal aspects of infertility treatment, especially issues related to insemination, are also not omitted.
