- Unique publication for teaching and research
- Essential element for every student of international relations
This anthology contains source texts from key publications that shaped the discipline of international relations until 1989. Most of them have been translated into Polish for the first time, which is of great value to the Polish reader. The collection opens with Edward H. Carr's text from 1939 on the failure of the liberal order in the interwar period and ends with Robert D. Putnam's 1988 work explaining the logic of two-level games. The chronological arrangement allows you to follow the development of science in this field.
The selection of texts was based on extensive consultations with researchers of international relations from all over Poland. These experts were also invited to collaborate as translators, which ensured a high quality of translations of often complicated texts. The result is a publication that enables not only the reading and interpretation of the most important texts, but also the discussion about them - both in classes with students and in the course of scientific work.
This publication is a true element necessary for understanding the beginnings, history, identity and directions of development of the discipline of international relations. It contains texts by authors such as Hans J. Morgenthau, Karl W. Deutsch, Raymond Aron, Graham T. Allison, Stanley Hoffmann, Alexander E. Wendt, Kenneth N.
