The author, thanks to an in-depth geopolitical analysis, shows Moldavia as an arena for the clash of influences of Poland, Hungary, Turkey and the Grand Duchy of Moscow. Based on an extensive query, including German, Austrian, Romanian, Moldavian, Hungarian, Polish and Russian archives and libraries, the author undertook to examine and describe the Polish-Moldavian relations of that time. The conclusions from the query shed new light on the presented topic, showing it in a new, more complex context. The aim was also to place these relations in an international context, which allowed for a fuller understanding of the geopolitical situation at that time.
