Shlomo Ibn Gabirol (1021/22 – after 1050?), also known as Avicebron, was a Jewish poet and philosopher who lived in the Golden Age of Jewish culture in Muslim Spain. Considered one of the most outstanding representatives of this period, Ibn Gabirol left behind a rich literary and philosophical legacy that had a huge impact on later generations.
